Canicross Taster Session

Come and Join us for a fun Canicross Taster session. Only £10 for a 1 hour session and all proceeds go towards our dogs! This session is all thanks to the wonderful Aisling from Dog Trails NI!

Canicross is an up and coming fun sport for owners and their dogs! This is cross country running where the owner wears a harness and the dog assists the owner running. It is a wonderful way for high energy dogs and owners to bond.

To book use the link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/canicross-taster-session-in-aid-of-doggy-911-tickets-45837974616

MEETING POINT: The meeting point will be the car park by the Stables coffee shop in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon park. Please aim to arrive 15-20 mins early if you wish to borrow kit. Please also arrive early enough to allow your dog to go to the toilet. All dog fouling MUST be bagged and binned.

WHAT TO BRING: As Dog Trails NI are just starting out, I will have a small selection of kit available to borrow, However, if you have one, please do bring your own kit for you and your dog to run in should I not have one that fits you or your dog. Please arrive early to get fitted for kit. Please bring an old towel to wipe down borrowed kit after the class before returning it. Bring water for yourself and your dog, and a small treat for your dog for after the class. It is recommended that you do not feed your dog for at least 2 hours before the class.

WHAT TO WEAR: Trail shoes are highly recommended as it can get pretty mucky and slippy. Wear clothing you can exercise in, and a change of clothes (especially socks!) is a good idea. An old towel for your mucky doggie is always useful too.

THE CLASS: A class briefing will be held at 9.55 am which will outline the class plan and a bit about health and safety, and we will set off at 10.00 am sharp. Any noisy dogs who like to shout, please put them back in your car for the briefing, you will have time to get them out again before we set off. The class will last an hour using mostly soft grass and forest trails in the park. The class will give you a basic overview of canicross, and the fundamental commands needed to begin with.

We ask for your email address and phone number in case of any last minute cancellation of the class, or if we need to contact you during the class in case of an emergency. All contact information provided will be used solely for the purpose of organising the free canicross taster session, and will be managed in compliance with the data protection Act 1998.

DISCLAIMER: By signing up to this free taster you do so at your own risk and agree to the terms set out in this disclaimer. You need to ensure that both you and your dog are fit and able to take part. Dog Trails NI nor Belfast City Council will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost or expense you may suffer as a result of participating in this free taster. Freedom Flights For Chinese Slaughterhouse Dogs

DOGGY 911 Team of 6 people are flying to china in August to rescue and fly home slaughterhouse dogs
These dogs have lived a horrific life they are beaten limbs cut off and skinned while still alive some are stolen pets others bred for the meat trade
This is an opportunity for us to get them out although we can't save them all we can certainly help some
Working with a great team Harbin SHS in china who provide full vetinary care and prepare the dogs for their journey to a new life with your help and donations we can bring them home
It is totally on a voluntary basis the team pay their own expenses and give up their valuable time in doing this so all monies goes directly to helping save dogs lives
If dogs is your passion then spread the word let's help try to end this so called Chinese culture and fight to stop the meat trade worldwide
Thank you in Advance ❤️🐾
